La plupart des pièces manquent d’un geste décisif. Canapé gris, murs ivoire, tapis sable… tout attend qu’on s’engage. Cette toile s’en charge. Un trait jaune moutarde sur fond pâle, accroché en carré au‑dessus du canapé, et le gris paraît choisi, pas par défaut. Choisissez grand : en 80 cm, les coups de pinceau se lisent vraiment, avec relief et traînées, apportant à votre mur la main de l’artiste qu’une teinte unie n’offre jamais. Associez‑la à un canapé en lin, ton pierre ou anthracite, devant un mur en béton ou enduit clair, sans aucune autre touche de jaune à proximité. Parfaite aussi dans une entrée : ce carré affirmé transforme un lieu de passage en moment de pause. Sur toile, la matière reste au plus près d’une surface peinte, sans verre entre vous et la texture.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Le jaune moutarde risque-t-il de jurer dans une pièce aux tons chauds ?

Cela dépend du reste. Avec des murs crème, des sols en chêne et du cuir camel, le jaune s’installe comme la teinte la plus vive d’une même famille. Avec de la terre cuite, du rouille ou de l’orange, il entre en concurrence, car ces couleurs veulent la même place. Si votre pièce a déjà un fort accent chaud, mieux vaut la réserver à un espace plus frais, avec du gris, du blanc ou du noir comme base.

Quelle taille choisir au-dessus d’un canapé ?

Visez environ les deux tiers de la largeur du canapé au total. Pour un trois places standard d’environ 200 cm, un seul carré de 90 à 100 cm tombe bien, centré, avec son bord inférieur à environ 20 cm au-dessus des coussins du dossier. En dessous de 70 cm, les coups de pinceau ne se lisent plus comme de la peinture, et l’ensemble ressemble à un échantillon plutôt qu’à la pièce maîtresse du mur.

Est-ce que cela fonctionne sur un mur coloré plutôt que blanc ?

Oui, dans certaines limites. Un mur gris pâle est le meilleur choix, car la couleur de fond s’efface presque et le jaune semble posé directement sur le plâtre. L’anthracite ou le bleu marine fonctionne aussi et fait lire le fond clair comme un panneau volontaire. Évitez le sauge, l’olive ou tout mur tirant vers le jaune, où le moutarde perd son relief et l’ensemble devient terne.
