Fin octobre, la lumière baisse et les couleurs s’éteignent. Pas les bruns chauds. Accrochez cette affiche sur le palier, là où le mur monte haut et où la lumière tombe d’en haut : la rivière capte le moindre reste d’après-midi gris. Son fond avoine pâle se pose avec délicatesse sur un lambris peint ou un blanc cassé crayeux. Laissez le palier épuré : une grande image, un tapis de couloir sous les pieds, et l’escalier est prêt pour l’hiver. Au printemps, vous la remarquerez à peine — c’est tout l’intérêt. Elle appartient à la moitié sombre de l’année, quand la maison se referme et qu’une longue vue sur la vallée mérite d’entrer à l’intérieur. How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Les tons bruns vont-ils paraître ternes dans un couloir sans fenêtre ?
Moins que vous ne le pensez. Les zones avoine pâle sont larges et situées vers le haut, donc une lumière au plafond ou une lampe en bas du palier les capte encore. Le brun et l’avoine restent aussi proches de la plupart des couleurs de peinture de couloir, donc l’ensemble paraît posé plutôt que sombre. Évitez une ampoule blanc froid, qui grise le brun. Une ampoule chaude autour de 2700K garde l’effet d’encre sur papier.

Quelle taille choisir pour une arrivée d’escalier ?
Voyez plus grand que ce qui vous semble prudent. Un mur de palier se regarde depuis le bas des marches, souvent à trois mètres de distance, et les montagnes lointaines ne se lisent comme de la profondeur qu’à partir d’environ 40 cm de large. Pour un mur toute hauteur, la plus grande taille disponible remplit l’espace d’un coup et évite d’assembler plusieurs petites pièces dans un angle difficile.

Puis-je accrocher deux de ces images verticales côte à côte ?
Oui, et cela fonctionne bien entre deux fenêtres ou de chaque côté d’une porte. Laissez un espace d’environ 15 cm entre elles et alignez les bords inférieurs plutôt que les centres, afin que le premier plan sombre forme une bande continue. Associez-la à un autre paysage ou dessin monochrome brun, pas à quelque chose de coloré, sinon celle-ci paraîtra délavée à côté.
