Quand le salon paraît trop arrangé, ce paysage apaisant fait merveille. Klimt a peint le lac Attersee en 1900: toute la surface vibre de minuscules touches vertes et bleu-gris qui ondulent comme une eau réelle. Accrochée sur un mur sobre, la toile apaise l'ambiance sans froideur et offre au regard un point d'appui doux. Elle fonctionne particulièrement bien au-dessus d'un canapé bas, d'un lit ou d'un fauteuil de lecture, et se marie aisément avec des murs blanc cassé à l'aspect crayeux ou gris pâle. Associez-la au chêne clair, au lin, au laiton brossé et à des céramiques délicates. Évitez de l'accrocher près de motifs criards, de couleurs primaires vives ou de bois sombres et massifs. La pièce a besoin d'un peu de calme autour d'elle pour faire son effet.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

L'effet d'eau scintillante est-il perceptible aux formats plus petits ?

Les petites touches sont ce qui donne l'impression d'eau réelle, et elles tiennent mieux aux formats moyens et grands où la surface peut remplir votre champ de vision. Aux formats plus petits l'effet d'ondulation s'aplatit un peu et il commence à se lire comme une seule couche verte douce. Si vous avez la place murale, choisissez une taille supérieure.

Cela s'opposera-t-il aux meubles en bois aux tons chauds ?

La palette est froide — vert doux, gris-colombe et bleu brumeux — mais suffisamment atténuée pour s'accorder avec le chêne clair, le frêne et les tons crème chauds. Ce sont plutôt le noyer foncé et le gros acajou qui peuvent alourdir l'ensemble sous l'œuvre. Si votre pièce est plutôt chaude et sombre, accrochez-la sur un mur pâle pour lui laisser respirer.

La composition est-elle trop vide pour un mur principal ?

C'est une composition calme, mais pas vide. Toute la surface est travaillée en petites touches, et la rive sombre en haut à droite offre un point où reposer le regard. Sur un mur principal elle se lit comme un point focal réfléchi et apaisant plutôt que comme un remplissage décoratif — mieux vaut lui laisser un peu d'espace autour.
