    Un palier n’a besoin de presque rien : une grande affiche, un mur blanc cassé, et ce vert canard fait le reste. Laissez le couloir à motifs pour une autre montée : Morris a dessiné ici assez de feuillage pour porter à lui seul tout l’escalier. Gardez le mur mat et sobre. Des balustres peints en blanc et une main courante en bois nu sont les seuls compagnons nécessaires. Évitez la seconde image : deux motifs de Morris sur le même mur donnent un effet de nuancier, et les têtes d’anémones y perdent leur présence. Pas de laiton, pas de dorure, pas d’applique chargée à côté. Si une plante trouve sa place sur le palier, choisissez un unique vert dans un pot simple, pas une jungle. Accrochez l’affiche un peu plus bas que l’instinct ne le dicte, pour que les fleurs soient à hauteur des yeux en montant. Sous un vitrage acrylique, le papier blanc cassé reste impeccable, même dans un escalier très fréquenté.

    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Le teal va-t-il jurer avec un mur crème chaud ?
    Le crème convient, à condition qu’il soit doux plutôt que jaunâtre. Le fond blanc cassé se rapproche de la plupart des crèmes, si bien que le bord de l’image disparaît presque et que seules les feuilles ressortent. Des murs jaune vif ou terracotta tirent le teal vers le bleu et le rendent froid. Un gris pâle, un blanc doux et un rose plâtre gardent au vert son aspect vert.

    Quelle taille choisir pour un palier d’escalier ?
    Voyez grand. Sur un palier, on le découvre d’abord du bas de l’escalier, à plusieurs mètres, et en petit format les têtes de fleurs se réduisent à une bande verte. Une pièce haute d’environ 100 cm garde les trois têtes de fleurs lisibles depuis le sol du couloir, tout en restant assez étroite pour le mur près d’une rampe.

    Pourquoi une partie du motif s’estompe-t-elle dans le crayon ?
    Morris l’a dessiné comme un motif de travail pour un tissu tissé, il n’a donc peint que la section nécessaire à montrer au tisserand et a laissé le repeat en contour crayon. Sur le mur, la zone non peinte se lit comme une partie du mur lui-même, ce qui explique pourquoi il s’accorde si bien avec une peinture claire et unie. La couleur s’arrête là où le dessin a choisi de s’arrêter, et cela lui donne l’espace qu’une affiche entièrement colorée n’aurait pas.
