How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the dark green background feel heavy in a small room?
Less than you'd think. The cream border and the warm dogs in the middle pull the eye inwards, so the dark foliage reads as depth rather than weight. In a small living room or hallway it tends to make the wall feel deeper, not smaller — especially with a warm lamp nearby.
Does it work in a modern, pared-back room or only in a country-style one?
Both, but it changes character. In an English country or grandmillennial room it sits right at home. In a more modern, pared-back space it becomes a deliberate warm focal point — choose a slim oak or black frame and keep the surrounding wall calm.
Is the dog clearly a golden retriever, or could it pass as another breed?
It reads as a golden retriever or yellow Labrador mother with a Labrador-style puppy — soft cream and warm gold coats, classic family-dog proportions. It's recognisable enough for gifting to specific-breed owners, but generic enough to work for any cream or golden dog household.
