How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How dark does this read on the wall?
Quite dark. The dress and backdrop together cover most of the image, so on a pale wall the portrait sits as a strong dark shape with the red hair and skin tones glowing out of it. On a dark wall it feels more cocooning and dramatic. One warm lamp nearby brings the colour to life in the evenings.
Will the portrait feel too sombre in a bedroom?
She's watchful rather than sad, and once you live with her she reads more thoughtful than heavy. In a bedroom with linen, dark wood and one warm lamp she feels grown up and atmospheric. If you prefer airy, bright bedrooms, this probably isn't the one — it suits rooms that already lean a little moody.
What size works best for this portrait?
Go larger rather than smaller. A single figure on her own carries a whole wall, and at a generous size the face reads clearly from across the room. Above a dresser or console, aim for the print to fill about two thirds of the furniture width. In a narrow hallway, a tall format placed at eye level works beautifully.
