Riguardo a quest'opera

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the amber and oxblood tones clash with a grey or blue sofa?

Honestly, yes — this piece is built around warm earth tones, and a cool grey or blue sofa will fight it rather than support it. It sings against walnut, cognac leather, burnt-ochre velvet, terracotta and putty walls. If your room is mostly cool-toned, this isn't the anchor for you.

Is the pattern too busy for a small room?

It can be. The mosaic of circles is dense and the trunks are dark and graphic, so in a tight room it dominates rather than decorates. It does best on a wall of at least 90cm width, viewed from 2-3 metres back — think over a sideboard, behind a sofa, or on a study feature wall.

Does it work as a pair or part of a gallery wall?

Not really. The composition is symmetrical and dense enough that it reads as a single statement, and pairing it with another patterned piece tends to dull both. If you want a second artwork in the same room, choose something quiet — a small botanical study or a calm warm abstract — and hang it on a different wall.
