Non perché è grigio, ma perché non svanisce: un’unica impronta nello strato di polvere lunare che riesce in ciò che poche fotografie sanno fare — dare a una stanza silenziosa la sensazione di una storia presente. Appendilo nello studio, in corridoio o sopra una madia bassa in soggiorno. Funziona all’altezza degli occhi e attira lo sguardo senza alzare la voce. Abbinalo a legno scuro, acciaio nero, lino e pareti in intonaco. Evita colori chiassosi: fiori vistosi o tinte accese contrastano con il grigio pacato e rendono l’immagine visivamente affollata. Una cornice nera o argento conserva l’atmosfera da museo; il rovere la addolcisce per un ambiente più caldo.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

La fotografia è ritagliata in quadrato o perde dettagli?
L'immagine è presentata in un ritaglio quadrato centrato sull'impronta dello stivale, con il motivo rigato della suola e la polvere lunare circostante mantenuti ben visibili. Ciottoli più piccoli e detriti dell'impronta ai bordi restano visibili, quindi la sensazione di scala e la texture della superficie sono preservate piuttosto che ridotte al solo stivale.

Potrebbe risultare troppo cupa in un salotto?
Si muove nei toni di grigio morbido e quasi nero piuttosto che in un nero pesante, quindi legge come tranquilla e concreta piuttosto che cupa. In un salotto con molta luce naturale, divani in lino e pareti chiare, agisce come un unico punto focale riflessivo invece di appesantire l'atmosfera.

Funziona con pareti colorate o solo con i neutri?
Si abbina meglio a pareti bianco sporco, grigio chiaro, intonaco o toni caldi della pietra. Colori più profondi come blu inchiostro o carbone funzionano bene e fanno risaltare i grigi. Pareti vivaci o sature — rosa acceso, lime, senape — entrano in conflitto con la fotografia e sono da evitare.
