How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the dark background look too heavy in a small room?
It does carry weight, but small rooms with chalky off-white or deep green walls actually benefit from one strong focal piece. Avoid pairing it with other busy patterns. On a pale wall it reads almost like a window; on a dark wall the rust and teal tones come forward.
How close should you stand to appreciate the detail?
Around 1.2 to 2.5 metres is the sweet spot. The radial patterns and labelled specimens reward a closer look, so hang it somewhere you naturally pause — above a desk, console or in a hallway — rather than across a wide open room where the detail disappears.
Does it work alongside more modern art, or only with traditional pieces?
It bridges well into transitional rooms if you keep companions quiet — a single plain abstract or a piece of typography in similar warm tones. What it won't tolerate is another busy patterned piece on the same wall. Give it space and it slots into modern interiors comfortably.
