Riguardo a quest'opera
Dai alla dea lo spazio che merita: appendi questa tela su una parete principale e più in alto del solito. A 120 cm d’altezza Hygieia è quasi a grandezza naturale: chi sale le scale incontra il suo sguardo a metà rampa. L’oro chiede luce naturale; il rosso profondo regge perfettamente su pareti verde scuro o intonaco, dove un formato più piccolo sembrerebbe una cartolina. Sotto gli 80 cm il serpente e la coppa si confondono in un motivo e l’opera perde impatto. Lascia il resto della parete libero e lascia che un semplice tappeto di lana riprenda il rosso. In un corridoio stretto vale la stessa regola: un solo elemento alto, appeso un po’ più in basso, senza nulla accanto. La tela mantiene la superficie opaca, così la finestra del pianerottolo illumina l’oro senza riflessi.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Quanto deve essere alta per un pianerottolo con scale?
Più alta di quanto pensi. Su un pianerottolo le persone vedono il quadro dal basso e dall’altro lato della tromba delle scale, quindi una stampa piccola sembra un francobollo. Punta ad almeno 100 cm di altezza. A quella misura il volto si trova vicino al tuo livello degli occhi a metà scale e la spirale dorata si vede dal pavimento del corridoio. Lascia la parete altrimenti nuda.
Il rosso funziona su una parete bianca?
Sì, ma cambia il carattere. Su un bianco brillante il rosso mattone e l’oro risultano più grafici e moderni, quasi da poster. Su verde profondo, rosa stucco o greige caldo gli stessi colori si assestano e sembrano più antichi e ricchi. Se il tuo ingresso è bianco, una cornice dorata aiuta a collegare il tutto e impedisce all’immagine di sembrare sospesa.
Perché i bordi sembrano tagliati?
Perché Hygieia è un dettaglio. Stava alla base di un dipinto da soffitto molto più grande chiamato Medicina, circondata da una colonna di figure fluttuanti, e i frammenti di capelli e arti ai lati appartengono a loro. Il ritaglio è il modo in cui l’opera è stata riprodotta fin dai primi anni del 1900, e il formato alto deriva proprio da questa inquadratura.
