How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the blue as bright in real life as it looks on screen?

It reads as a true deep blue with brighter mid-blue where the folds catch the light. Screens can push it slightly purple. On a wall it looks cooler and cleaner, especially next to off-white paint. In a north-facing room the darker creases sit closer to near-black, which makes the bright folds stand out more.

Will it work in a room that already has grey and white furniture?

Yes, that's where it does its best work. Grey and white schemes often lack a focal point, and the blue supplies one without adding pattern. Keep the surrounding surfaces plain and add one or two small cool accents, like a grey stoneware vase or chrome lamp, so the blue looks intentional rather than accidental.

Does it need to go large, or can it work in a smaller size?

Large suits it best. The folded shapes rely on depth and shadow, and those details compress at small sizes so the piece starts to look like a flat blue block. If your wall is narrow, go tall rather than small — a slimmer large size keeps the curves legible from a couple of metres away.
