How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange be too strong for a room with cool grey walls?

It will stand out sharply. The warm orange is the loudest thing in the picture, so on cool grey it reads as a deliberate contrast rather than a blend. If you want it to settle in, hang it on off-white, warm stone or a soft clay wall, or bring in one or two warm accents nearby such as a terracotta pot or a rust cushion.

Does it still work if my room has no Mediterranean look at all?

Yes. The shapes are simple enough to sit in plain modern rooms, and the colours do the travelling for you. It works in a pale Scandinavian-style room as the single warm note, or in a dark timber study where the orange lifts things. It only struggles beside heavy florals or busy pattern, where the shutter shape gets lost.

How much wall space does the upright shape need?

Allow around 70cm of clear wall width at large size, more if you can. The strength of the piece is the tall window against empty space, so leaving generous margin either side keeps it looking intentional. In a narrow hallway, centre it above a slim console and resist adding anything else on the same stretch of wall.
