How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the deep green and off-white feel too quiet on a pale wall?
On a chalky off-white or soft sage wall it does sit quietly, which is the point. If you want more presence, frame it in warm brown wood and hang it against a darker painted panel or alongside one or two other vintage plates rather than on its own.
Does the tall portrait shape limit where I can hang it?
It's at its best on narrower walls: between two doorways, above a desk or console, or in a hallway between sconces. On a very wide sofa wall it can look small unless you pair it with one or two companion plates of similar character.
Will it work alongside other bird or botanical prints?
Yes — it was made as part of a series, so it groups naturally with other Audubon plates, botanical engravings and antique natural-history pages. Keep the frame finish and wall spacing consistent so the group reads as a considered set rather than a busy wall.
