How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft colours look washed out on a white wall?
On a bright white wall the sage and cream will read softer than on a coloured wall, but the warm brown of the cat gives the piece enough anchor to hold its own. If you want more presence, hang it on a chalky off-white, soft sage or warm beige wall — the painting almost glows against a slightly toned background.
Is the cat clearly recognisable, or is it quite abstract?
The cat is clearly there — you can read the ears, face, body and tail — but it's painted loosely rather than in fine detail. Up close you see brushstrokes and soft edges; from a few steps back it reads as a calm, characterful cat portrait. It sits between figurative and painterly abstract.
Does this only work in a bedroom, or will it suit a living room too?
It works in both. The calm palette and medium scale suit a bedroom above the headboard, but it also sits well above a low console or sideboard in a living room, especially in organic-modern or Japandi-leaning spaces. Avoid placing it as the single hero in a very large, bold living room — it's a supporting calm piece, not a statement.
