How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the pale sage background look too washed out on a white wall?
It reads soft rather than washed out. The cat sits clearly in front of the sage, so the portrait still anchors the wall — the background just keeps the overall feel quiet. If your walls are very bright white, a warm wood frame helps lift it and give the piece a defined edge.
Does it look like a specific cat breed?
It reads as a soft tabby in side-profile rather than a strict breed study — somewhere between an American shorthair and a generic warm-toned tabby. It's painterly, so it works as a gentle nod for most tabby owners rather than a portrait of one particular cat.
Will it work in a room that isn't already neutral?
It works best in calm, mid-tone rooms with cream, oat, soft brown or muted green in the mix. In a high-contrast or very dark room the pale sage can feel under-powered. If your room leans bold, hang it somewhere quieter — a hallway, bedroom corner or reading nook — rather than the main feature wall.
