How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft green background clash with warm paint colours?
It can sit awkwardly against bright terracotta or mustard walls, because the green leans cool. It's happiest against chalky off-white, soft sage, deep navy or warm putty. If your walls are warm, lean into a darker wood frame to bridge the temperature and keep nearby textiles in linen, leather or stoneware.
Does the portrait feel heavy or moody on the wall?
Not really. The palette is muted but the background is soft and airy, so the piece reads quiet rather than dark. The dark blouse and hair give it weight at the bottom, which is why it sits well above a low console, bedside table or writing desk rather than floating high on a tall wall.
Is this better as a single hero piece or in a gallery wall?
She works beautifully as a solo hero on a medium wall, which is our first recommendation. If you do build a gallery, keep her at the centre and surround her with quieter neighbours — small still lifes, muted landscapes or simple botanicals — rather than other strong faces, which start to compete.
