How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the background a true white or warmer than that?
It's a warm off-white — closer to old paper than bright white. That's what makes the mustard and deep green sit comfortably. It will look slightly creamier against a stark white wall and almost seamless on a soft plaster or warm off-white wall.
Does the crane face left or right on the print?
The bird's body faces left, with the head turned back over its shoulder to the right. That little turn is what gives it personality, and it also means the visual weight pulls slightly to the right — useful to know if you're hanging it next to a doorway or to one side of a bed.
Will the visible hatching and brush marks show up at larger sizes?
Yes, and that's part of the appeal. The diagonal hatching, slightly off-register colour and honest line work are kept as they appear in the original woodblock. At larger sizes the marks read more clearly and the piece feels more like a hand-pulled print than a smooth reproduction.
