How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the bright yellow and coral clash with a soft pink or terracotta room?
No — the coral in the typewriter is the same warm family as terracotta and soft pink, so it tends to pull those tones together rather than fight them. The butter yellow lifts the warmth without going acidic. It's the cool grey rooms that are trickier, not the warm ones.
Is the typewriter shown in enough detail to read as a typewriter from across the room?
Yes. The keys, paper sheet and overall silhouette are bold and graphic, so the subject reads instantly from two or three metres away. It's stylised rather than realistic, but there's no ambiguity about what it is.
Does it work above a desk or is it better on a free wall?
Above a desk is the natural fit — the proportions and seated eye-level work well there. It also holds a narrow free wall between bookshelves or windows. Avoid putting it directly next to another graphic print; it prefers a bit of breathing room.
