How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft blue-green background clash with a warm-toned room?
It's a muted, washed blue-green rather than a bright sea colour, so it sits comfortably next to oak, linen and warm off-whites. If your room leans heavily into terracotta or deep reds, the cool background may feel a touch separate — but the cream paper and coral-red accents on the beak and feet bridge the two.
Is the bird shown facing left or right?
The tern is diving head-down with the head and beak pointing to the lower left of the frame, while the long forked tail streams to the upper right. That diagonal pull is the strongest line in the piece, so leave space above and below when hanging — and ideally don't butt it tight against a left-hand corner.
Does it work above a bed, or is it better in a study?
Both work. Above a bed, hang it slightly higher than usual so the diving line has room to read down the wall. In a study, it sits well above a desk or a low bookshelf. The portrait shape and quiet palette mean it doesn't dominate either room.
