Il carattere di questa opera cambia con la cornice. Con una cornice nera, il bordo si fonde con l’inchiostro: l’insieme diventa una colonna scura e decisa, splendida su una parete color crema o intonaco gessoso, perfetta per una fascia stretta tra la credenza della cucina e la porta. Con una cornice bianca, il segno sembra sospeso: più discreto, quasi una pagina appuntata, ideale in una sala da pranzo chiara con marmo nelle vicinanze. Evita invece il rovere: il legno caldo addolcisce il nero e ne attenua l’impatto. Appendilo in verticale, da solo, all’altezza degli occhi, senza altri elementi su quella porzione di parete. La cornice nera arriva completa di vetro acrilico e ferramenta, pronta da appendere.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Il nero sembrerà troppo pesante in una cucina piccola?
Meno di quanto pensi, perché la maggior parte dell’immagine è carta crema e la parte scura è un’unica forma alta, non una distesa d’inchiostro. Su una parete bianca o crema si legge come un solo elemento verticale, quasi un vaso nero alto. Diventa pesante solo su una parete scura o in una stanza senza luce naturale, quindi meglio vicino a una finestra.

Quanto deve essere alto perché la torta si legga bene?
Meglio grande, se la parete lo permette. A circa 100 cm di altezza i tre piani e le ciliegie restano chiari anche da lontano, e le sottili linee graffiate dell’alzata si vedono ancora. Sotto i 60 cm circa la forma si assottiglia in una striscia scura e si perde la qualità del disegno. La larghezza conta meno, perché il formato è due volte più alto che largo.

Funziona su una parete verde scuro o blu navy?
Sì, ma l’effetto cambia. Su un colore profondo la carta crema diventa la parte più evidente, quindi l’immagine si legge come un pannello chiaro con una forma scura dentro, più che come un disegno nero sulla parete. Sta bene in una sala da pranzo dal tono intenso con una cornice bianca. Per un aspetto più grafico e netto, una parete chiara è la scelta più sicura.
