Riguardo a quest'opera
La luce del mattino in un corridoio stretto è sottile e grigia, e molte immagini perdono intensità. Linea nera su crema fa l’opposto: i tratti restano netti anche quando la luce cala e, nel tardo pomeriggio, il disegno sembra inchiostro direttamente sulla parete. Appendila in fondo al corridoio, dove la luce radente della finestra la sfiora: il fondo crema raccoglierà il poco calore rimasto del giorno. Con intonaco bianco alle spalle, un corrimano in acciaio nero o una porta scura nelle vicinanze, la geometria trova il suo contrappunto. Nient’altro su quella parete. In uno studio, posizionala accanto alla scrivania, non dietro lo schermo: il formato slanciato catturerà la luce della lampada la sera e il nero rimarrà profondo quando la luce del giorno sarà svanita. La tela arriva già tesa su un telaio in legno, pronta da appendere, senza vetro che rifletta la luce del corridoio.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Le linee fini si leggono ancora dal basso delle scale?
Sì, su un formato grande. Le barre nere più marcate e il cerchio si vedono dal gradino più basso, e le linee tracciate più sottili prendono forma mentre sali. Questo cambiamento lungo una rampa di scale fa parte del piacere. Sotto il formato medio i segni fini da lontano si impastano in grigio, quindi su una parete lunga di scale meglio salire di misura, non scendere.
Lo sfondo è bianco puro o crema?
Crema, vicino al tono della carta invecchiata. Su una parete bianca brillante il fondo si legge come un rettangolo caldo, cosa che molti apprezzano perché evita un effetto clinico. Su una parete bianco sporco o bianco caldo il fondo quasi scompare e resta solo la linea nera. Entrambe le soluzioni funzionano, e nessuna richiede una cornice pass partout per sembrare rifinita.
La forma alta funziona vicino a una porta invece che su una parete aperta?
È proprio lì che sta bene. Un formato 1:2 riempie la striscia tra una porta e un angolo dove nient’altro entra, e la proporzione verticale richiama la porta stessa. Appendila in modo che il centro sia all’altezza degli occhi e tieni maniglia ed eventuali interruttori neri, così ferramenta e inchiostro si parlano. Lascia vuoto l’altro lato della porta.
