Riguardo a quest'opera
Ottobre è il momento in cui dà il meglio. Quando le lancette tornano indietro, l’ingresso si fa buio già nel tardo pomeriggio, e questa verticale di arancio bruciato sulla parete del pianerottolo fa il lavoro che il sole basso non fa più. Appendila dove la scala gira: il suo slancio verticale accompagna i gradini, la incrocerai decine di volte al giorno. Su una parete bianco gesso la terracotta vibra di calore, mentre la striscia lampone evita che sembri un semplice marrone. Moquette di lana sul corrimano, alzate in rovere a vista, un’applique sopra. E a gennaio funziona ancora: il calore è nel colore, non nella stagione, così anche un mattino grigio la valorizza. Lasciala protagonista, l’unico elemento su quella parete. Stampata su tela e intelaiata su un robusto telaio in legno, arriva pronta da appendere.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
L’arancio litiga con un divano ruggine o terracotta?
No, appartiene alla stessa famiglia e si legge come una continuazione del divano più che come un rivale. Il rischio è un effetto troppo uniforme, quindi inserisci qualcosa di più freddo tra i due, un cuscino verde profondo o un tappeto crema. Se il divano è un arancio caldo invece di una ruggine brunita, appendi il quadro su un’altra parete così i due non siano uno accanto all’altro.
Quanto grande dovrebbe essere su un pianerottolo?
Più grande di quanto ti sembri comodo. Su un pianerottolo lo guardi dal gradino più basso, da lontano, e un piccolo quadro alto diventa una striscia. Punta a una dimensione che occupi circa due terzi dell’altezza della parete tra zoccolo e soffitto, con il centro leggermente sotto il livello degli occhi così funziona anche dalle scale.
Sta bene in una stanza con molto verde?
Sì, e meglio di molti quadri caldi. Le pennellate verde teal scuro gli danno in una stanza verde qualcosa a cui aggrapparsi, mentre l’arancio offre il contrasto che a una palette verde di solito manca. Rende al meglio contro verde oliva, bosco o bottiglia, più che contro menta o salvia, troppo chiari per reggere la terracotta.
