How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the breed clearly recognisable as a border collie?
Yes. The classic black-and-white markings, the upright ears and the alert, side-on pose all read as border collie at a glance, even with the loose brushwork. Owners and non-owners both tend to recognise the breed straight away, which makes it a safe pick as a gift for collie people.
Will the off-white background look odd against a cream or magnolia wall?
The background is a clean, slightly cool off-white. On warm cream or magnolia walls it can read very slightly cooler than the wall itself. A black or oak frame draws the eye to the dog rather than the paper edge, so the background blends in rather than fighting the wall.
Does the dog face left or right?
The collie is sitting square on but turning its head to the right, gaze lifted slightly. That means it pulls the eye toward the right of the wall, so it sits best with space to its right — for example, to the left of a doorway or window rather than the right.
