How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the lilac background feel too purple on a white wall?
It reads as a dusty, greyed lilac rather than a bright purple — closer to a Farrow & Ball heritage tone. Against a chalky off-white or cream wall it softens further and the green ginger jar and tuxedo cat carry the contrast. If your wall is a bright modern white, expect the lilac to feel a touch cooler than on warm plaster.
Is the cat a specific breed I can match to my own?
It's painted as a generic black-and-white tuxedo cat — no breed-specific markings like a Maine Coon ruff or Persian flat face. The white blaze runs forehead to nose with white paws and chest, which fits most domestic shorthair tuxedos. Buyers usually pick it because their own cat has similar markings, not because of breed.
Is it busy enough to be a hero piece, or better as part of a gallery wall?
It can do both. Solo, the tuxedo cat and ginger jar give it enough contrast to anchor a bedside or study wall on its own. In a small cluster of 2–3, treat this as the largest and centre piece, and surround it with quieter botanicals or muted still lifes in sage and cream so the cat stays the focal point.
