How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the pale colours look washed out on an off-white wall?
The painting carries enough soft sage and warm tan to hold its own on a pale wall, but it reads best when there's a little contrast nearby — a pale oak frame, a slim shadow, or warmer accents like a stoneware lamp or linen lampshade close by. On very stark bright-white walls, a soft off-white or pale wood frame helps the print settle rather than float.
Does this work in a room without other cat or animal art?
Yes. It reads first as a painterly study of light and a slim, calm shape, and second as a cat. That means it sits comfortably with botanicals, soft abstracts and quiet landscapes, rather than needing other pet pieces around it. It's a good choice if you want one cat piece that feels like art first.
What size suits a bedside table or slim console?
A medium portrait size is the sweet spot above a low bedside table or a slim console — large enough to anchor the furniture, small enough to keep the airy feel. For wider sideboards or a feature wall in a study, sizing up reads as a calm focal point without making the soft palette feel heavy.
