How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the back-view composition odd to live with day to day?
It's actually easier to live with than a front-facing portrait. You read the posture and coat first, so it feels more like a quiet companion than a face watching the room. Buyers who own Yorkies tend to recognise the silhouette instantly, and visitors usually ask about it rather than walk past.
Will the warm golden brown clash with cool grey walls?
It can feel out of place on cool grey or stark white walls because the piece leans warm. It sits much more naturally on chalky off-white, soft cream, warm beige or pale clay walls. If your room is cool-toned overall, pair it with a warm timber frame and a nearby lamp to bridge the temperature.
Does the loose watercolour style still read clearly at a larger size?
Yes. The brushwork is loose but deliberate, with clear shape in the ears, backline and tail. At medium sizes the strokes feel painterly; at larger sizes they read more like a confident wash. The white background gives the dog room to breathe at any scale.
