Riguardo a quest'opera
Ottobre è il suo momento. Le mattine si velano di foschia, la luce si fa morbida e rosata per venti minuti, e una parete di camera da letto desidera qualcosa che trattenga quell’atmosfera quando il giorno si appiattisce. Appendila sopra la testata, a tutta larghezza del letto. Il lilla-lavanda dialoga con il grigio di una stanza esposta a nord invece di contrastarlo. Lino bianco sotto, testata in legno verniciato, nient’altro sulla parete. In inverno le anatre restano un accenno di movimento, quello di cui una stanza fredda ha bisogno. A marzo smetti quasi di farci caso, finché un ospite non chiede da dove venga. Tieni le tende semplici: tessuti a fantasia accanto a colori così soffusi trasformano l’intera parete in un miscuglio. Stampata su tela e tesa su un telaio in legno, restituisce alla spessa pittura del cielo parte della sua matericità e arriva pronta da appendere.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Il rosa e la lavanda stanno male in una camera da letto grigia?
No, sono pensati per stare insieme. La lavanda nel cielo si avvicina a una parete grigio-blu e si legge come parte di essa, mentre il rosa e la pesca aggiungono il calore che alle stanze grigie manca. Gli unici grigi da evitare sono i verdi decisi o i grigi a base gialla, che stonano con il rosa. Anche le pareti bianche calde funzionano benissimo.
Quanto deve essere larga sopra un letto king-size?
Punta a due terzi o alla larghezza completa del materasso, quindi da 120 a 150 cm su un king. A quella misura i tre uccelli stanno alla giusta scala di volo e il cielo riempie la parete dietro i cuscini. Lascia circa 20 cm tra la testiera e il bordo inferiore così il quadro appartiene al letto invece di sembrare sospeso sopra.
È troppo delicata per reggere da sola una parete del soggiorno?
Non alla misura giusta. Sopra un divano deve coprire almeno due terzi della larghezza del divano e, a quel punto, il movimento degli uccelli dà alla parete un punto focale senza urlare. Tieni divano e cuscini semplici, in lino color avena o bianco sporco, e i colori chiari risultano calmi invece che deboli. Fatica solo accanto a tessuti con motivi forti.
