In februari voelt de tuin kaal; binnen brengt deze canvas direct warmte. Hang hem op de overloop of in de hal – die plek waar je dagelijks langskomt – en het zachte roze geeft het gevoel dat de eerste stokrozen al bloeien. Diepe groentinten komen prachtig uit tegen een kalkachtige, lichte muur. Houd de wand licht; op een smalle wand mag dit werk van bijna vloer tot plafond staan en heeft het niets ernaast nodig. In juni sluit de echte tuin naadloos aan en lijken ze met elkaar te praten door het open raam. Ook mooi op geschilderd kraaldelen in de hal. Denk aan messing traproeden, een doorleefde loper en één goede lamp op de tussenoverloop. Deze canvas is opgespannen op een houten frame en klaar om op te hangen. Zonder glas komen de dikke penseelstreken optimaal tot hun recht.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Wordt het roze niet te zoet tegen grijze muren?
Minder dan je zou verwachten. Het roze staat hier naast veel donkergroen, dus op een middelgrijze muur oogt het eerder roos dan snoepachtig. Koel lichtgrijs kan de saliekleur flets maken, dus als je hal grijs is, kies dan liever een warmere greige tint of hang er een messing lamp bij om de warmte terug te brengen.
Hoe breed moet de muur zijn voor zo’n hoog werk?
Reken op minstens 60 cm vrije muur, liefst 80 cm, zodat er aan beide kanten ademruimte is. Hoogte is belangrijker dan breedte. Op een trapoverloop moet het werk ongeveer twee derde van de muuropte vullen, met de onderrand dicht bij de bovenkant van de trapleuning. Kleiner dan dat en de bloemen verliezen hun schaal.
Werkt dit in een noordelijk gelegen hal met weinig daglicht?
Ja, en eigenlijk nog beter. Plat noorderlicht houdt de groentinten koel en rustig, en de roze bloemen worden dan het warmste in de ruimte. Voeg één warme lamp toe in een wandlamp of tafellamp op de overloop en de hele muur komt ’s avonds tot leven. Vermijd koudwit ledlicht, dat maakt het salie grijs.
