In januari kan een gang wel wat sfeer gebruiken. Grijs buiten, stapels jassen en een enkel raam dat weinig licht geeft. Hang hier deze hond. Het diepe mosterdgeel voelt warm, zelfs onder een kale lamp. De navy-blauwe vlekken geven je ogen houvast terwijl je je schoenen uittrekt. Mooi met bleke vloerplanken of terracottategels en een kalkachtig offwhite op de muur. Houd patronen op minimaal een meter afstand. Zijn ogen zijn dicht: de uitstraling is rustig en geduldig – precies wat doordeweekse ochtenden nodig hebben. Kies 50 cm vierkant of groter; kleiner en de vlekken vervagen tot textuur en verdwijnt de grap. In april wil je hem nog steeds laten hangen. Op canvas loopt het mosterdgeel door tot aan de rand, zodat muur en kleur naadloos op elkaar aansluiten.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Past het mosterdgeel bij een grijze hal?

Ja, en beter dan veel andere kleuren. Middel- en lichtgrijs laten het mosterd warmer lijken, en de marineblauwe stippen pakken elke koelere grijstint in de verf op. Vermijd grijstinten met een groene of gele ondertoon, want die maken de combinatie dof. Een witte of gebroken witte plint eronder helpt, en een eenvoudige runner van jute of donkerblauw maakt de vloer af zonder te concurreren.

Welke maat moet ik ophangen in een kinderkamer?

Kies ongeveer 50 cm vierkant en hang hem lager dan je voor volwassenen zou doen, ongeveer op kinderhoogte als je kind staat. In dat formaat komen de stippen over als losse markeringen en heeft de hond presence vanaf de deuropening. Boven een laag bed of een speelgoedkist werkt goed. Kleinere formaten kunnen prima in een groep met twee of drie rustigere werken eromheen.

Is dit een dalmatiër?

Hij is een gevlekte hond, getekend als karakter in plaats van als rasstudie, dus dalmatiërbezitters zullen hun hond erin zien, net als eigenaren van pointers en spaniels. De stippen zijn losse penseelstreken, geen exacte vacht. Als je een trouwe weergave van een specifiek ras wilt, is dit niet het werk, maar als je een hond met wat persoonlijkheid wilt, wel.
