Kuniyoshi maakte dit werk om je aan het lachen te maken. Geef het daarom een eigen muur, zonder afleiding. Haal de kleine lijstjes eromheen weg en laat de plank eronder half leeg. De beste plek? Achter de eettafel, op ooghoogte waar mensen zitten en praten, tegen witte tegels of een strakke, ongeverfde wand. De verweerde oranje tint komt het mooist uit op lichte muren en naast onbehandeld hout. Vermijd een accentmuur in een warmere kleur dan gebroken wit. Zorg dat drukke patronen in rolgordijnen of servies niet in hetzelfde zichtveld zitten. Eén beeld, één muur. Laat de ruimte voelen als één sterk idee – en de rust om daar te stoppen. Toch een tweede werk ophangen? Kies dan de overkant van de kamer, niet ernaast. Dit canvas is gespannen over een houten frame en heeft geen glas; zo blijft de crèmekleurige ondergrond mat en ingetogen.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Gaat het oranje vloeken met een keuken die al warme tinten heeft?

Dat hangt ervan af hoeveel oranje er al is. Bij eiken, essen, crème of wit straalt het en oogt het bewust gekozen. Bij terracottategels, kastjes in gebrand oranje of een roestkleurige muur verliest het zijn scherpte en botsen de twee oranje tinten met elkaar. Is je keuken al warm, hang het dan op de witste muur die je hebt en houd de oppervlakken eromheen rustig.

Welke maat werkt het best op een badkamermuur?

In een kleine badkamer of het toilet beneden is 40 tot 50 cm vierkant ruim genoeg. Je ziet het van dichtbij, vaak al vanaf een meter, en de contouren en ogen komen op die maat goed over. Bewaar 70 cm en groter voor een grotere familiebadkamer of een keuken waar mensen er van verder weg naar kijken. Hang het op staande ooghoogte, niet boven de wc.

Is het geschikt voor een kinderkamer?

Voor kinderen vanaf ongeveer zes jaar werkt het prima. De komische starende ogen, de tentakels en de kat in een kimono zijn precies het soort dingen waar kinderen eindeloos om moeten lachen, en het oranje past mooi bij primaire kleuren en houten speelgoed. Voor een babykamer is het wat intens, omdat die grote blik in een donkere kamer ’s nachts onrustig kan overkomen.
