Kies het juiste frame en je kiest de sfeer van de kamer. Met zwart komt het diepe blauw van het meer krachtiger naar voren en oogt het geheel grafisch – perfect tegen een strakke witte muur, in een werkkamer of een appartement met meer beton dan hout. Met bruin verandert het in een lodge-achtige blikvanger: de crèmekleurige rand oogt warmer, de roestrode ruiten treden naar voren en het vraagt om dennenhout, een leren fauteuil en een wollen kleed. Eiken zit er precies tussenin en past goed in een al lichte, Scandinavische ruimte. Zwart wint in de meeste interieurs; het meer brengt zelf al genoeg kleur mee. Hang boven de bank op 70 cm of hoger, zodat het eiland in het midden ook vanaf de deuropening goed zichtbaar blijft. Combineer kussens in cognac en gebroken wit. Als canvas loopt de geschilderde rand door tot aan de zijkant, waardoor het zelfs zonder lijst afgewerkt oogt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Werkt het diepe blauw in een kamer op het noorden?
Ja, met een kanttekening. Koel licht trekt het meer richting leisteen, waardoor het rustiger en minder verzadigd oogt dan in een zonnige kamer. Crème in de rand helpt, omdat het licht blijft, ongeacht de lichtinval. Hang het aan de muur tegenover het raam in plaats van ernaast, en voeg voor de avond een warme lamp toe. Het bosgroen blijft in elk licht goed overeind.

Laat het het echte Crater Lake zien?
Dat doet het. Het uitzicht is het uitzicht dat de meeste bezoekers krijgen vanaf de rand van de caldera, kijkend naar Wizard Island, de vulkanische kegel die uit het water oprijst nabij de westelijke oever.
