Deze canvas toont een paardenbloempluis tegen gewassen blauw dat prachtig met het daglicht mee verandert. In de vroege ochtend oogt het blauw bijna grijs: de ruimte voelt koeler en rustiger dan de avond ervoor. Tegen de middag verdiept de tint naar denim en komt de witte zaadbol helder naar voren. Hang dit werk naast het raam, niet ertegenover, zodat het strijklicht over het oppervlak valt in plaats van terugkaatst. Het combineert fraai met krijtachtige pleister en offwhite linnen gordijnen die diezelfde zachtheid tot op de vloer doorzetten. Bij schemer, met één lamp aan, wordt de achtergrond donker terwijl de steel zichtbaar blijft. Laat deze muur verder leeg en geef het canvas de volledige hoogte; hang het zo dat de zaadbol net boven ooghoogte komt. Op canvas is de penseelstreek in het blauw mooi zichtbaar, waardoor het stuk als een schilderij leest zonder storende randen.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Wordt het blauw koud in een hal op het noorden?

Het oogt in noordlicht koeler, dichter bij grijs dan denim, en dat past juist goed in een hal. De witte zaadpluis behoudt zijn helderheid, wat het licht ook doet. Maak de ruimte warmer met vloer en textiel in plaats van met de muur: een grenen of eiken vloer, een kokosmat, een wollen loper in oatmeal. Dan blijft het blauw een koel accent in plaats van een koude toon.

Hoe hoog moet het zijn om te werken op een overloopmuur?

Richt op minimaal 80 cm hoog, en ga naar 100 cm of meer als de overloop een volledig hoge wand heeft. De stengel vormt het grootste deel van het beeld, en heeft lengte nodig om staand in plaats van zittend te voelen. Hang hem zo dat de zaadpluis net boven ooghoogte zit voor iemand die op de overloop staat, met duidelijke muur eronder tot aan de plint.

Past het in een badkamer?

Ja, en een badkamer is juist een van de betere ruimtes ervoor. Het gewassen blauw werkt goed bij witte tegels, lichte voegen en chroom of geborsteld nikkel. Het ene motief doet het prima in een kleine ruimte waar drukkere kunst te veel zou zijn. Kies een muur weg van directe douche-sproei, zoals de strook naast de deur of boven een handdoekrek, en houd de rest van de ruimte eenvoudig.
