Begin met het turquoise: het frist elk linnen meteen op. Dit is een heldere baaiscène met dikke verfstreken die echt licht in een ruimte brengen die wat vlak is geworden. Hang hem waar mensen zitten en praten: boven een lage bank, boven een dressoir of aan de muur die je als eerste ziet bij binnenkomst. Ook ideaal om een saaie overloop op te tillen. Houd de inrichting eenvoudig en natuurlijk: licht hout, rotan, effen katoen en een groen of blauw geglazuurd potje. Laat het water het werk doen. Vermijd drukke, patroonbehang achter de canvas en zet er geen andere kleurrijke taferelen omheen; één krachtig uitzicht per muur is genoeg. Als canvas komt het reliëf van de penseelstreken mooi naar voren, alsof je een echt schilderij aan de muur hebt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Ziet het turquoise er niet te fel uit in een kamer op het noorden?

Dat blijft prima werken. Koeler noorderlicht tempert het blauw iets in plaats van het weg te wassen, en de groene beplanting en roze bloesem houden warmte in het beeld. Is je kamer vrij donker, kies dan een maat groter en hang het aan de muur tegenover het raam, zodat het water zoveel daglicht vangt als je hebt.

Werkt het vierkante formaat boven een standaard driezitsbank?

Ja, zolang je een maat groter kiest. Een vierkant komt het mooist uit als het ongeveer de helft tot twee derde van de bankbreedte beslaat, dus een grote of opvallende maat is de veiligste keuze. Heb je alleen ruimte voor een kleiner vierkant, hang het dan liever boven een console, ladekast of in de hal, waar het smallere meubel beter past.

Kan ik dit combineren met andere kleurrijke kunst?

Ja, maar het is beter als hoofdwerk. De baaiscène heeft al veel detail en kleur, dus combineer het met rustigere stukken — zachte kustwashes, eenvoudige botanische prints of subtiele lijntekeningen. Houd de omliggende werken kleiner en minder contrastrijk, dan voelt de compositie doordacht in plaats van druk.
