Kies eerst de lijst, dan valt de rest op zijn plek. Zwart maakt de dieprode achtergrond één krachtig vlak en laat de grijze strepen scherper uitkomen – sterk genoeg om solo een keukenmuur te dragen. Eiken doet het omgekeerde: de mosterdgele bloemen treden naar voren en de kat krijgt een zachtere uitstraling, perfect onder een landelijke buffetkast. Beide opties werken; de ruimte bepaalt. Witte keukens met houten werkbladen vragen om zwart, op ooghoogte naast het raam zodat het rood de wand draagt. Slaapkamers met crèmekleurig beddengoed en een stoel met biezen zitting passen beter bij eiken en een lagere hang. Sla wit over: tegen bordeauxrood vecht een lichte rand met de crèmekleurige vacht, waardoor de kat zijn contour verliest. Op canvas loopt het rood door tot aan de rand van de drager; de lijst werkt dan als omvouw in plaats van als omlijsting.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Gaat het diepe rood botsen met mijn keukenkastjes?

Alleen als de kastjes ook rood zijn. Tegen witte, crème, saliegroene of licht houten deuren leest de bordeauxrode ondergrond als het ene warme vlak in de ruimte, waardoor de kastjes juist rustiger ogen. Ook donkerblauwe kastjes werken, de twee diepe kleuren staan naast elkaar in plaats van te botsen. Donkergrijs is de kleur om op te letten, die kan het rood zwaar laten lijken.

Is het te donker voor een kinderkamer?

Het rood is diep, maar de kat is crème en neemt een goed derde van het vierkant in, waardoor het geheel warm blijft in plaats van somber. In een kamer met crème muren en een houten bed voelt het knus, als een omslag van een sprookjesboek. Houd de andere kleuren in de kamer zacht en het bordeaux blijft vriendelijk in plaats van dominant.

Kan ik het als paar ophangen met een andere dierenafbeelding?

Ja, en een paar werkt het best als de ander ook bordeaux of mosterd gebruikt maar een ander dier toont. Een folk haas of vogel op een vergelijkbare ondergrond geeft je twee vierkanten die samen als set lezen. Vermijd een tweede kat; twee van hetzelfde soort gaan eerder met elkaar concurreren dan met elkaar in gesprek. Hang het paar met ongeveer een handbreedte ertussen.
