How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Zullen de kleuren niet te veel zijn in een kleine hal?
In een kleine hal draait het om wat eromheen zit. Houd de muur in een rustige gebroken witte tint en de vloer van kaal hout of een effen loper, en de kleur komt over als één sterk accent in plaats van rommel. Problemen ontstaan pas als er gedrukt behang of een druk tapijt naast hangt. Geef het één echo, een rood of paars kussen, en houd de rest rustig.

Hoe hoog moet ik gaan op een trapwand?
Ga hoger dan je instinct zegt. Vanaf 120 cm of hoger lezen de stammen als bomen en tilt het goud bovenaan je blik de trap op. Onder ongeveer 90 cm nemen de stippen het over en wordt het werk een smalle kleurstrook. Meet de strook naast de trap, houd aan beide kanten een handbreedte muur vrij, en kies de grootste hoogte die past.

Werkt het in een woonkamer, of alleen in een hal?
Het werkt in een woonkamer als er een hoge smalle opening gevuld moet worden, meestal tussen twee ramen of naast een schoorsteenmantel. Zet het tegen gebroken wit of warm stucwerk en houd andere kunst van die muur weg. Een donkergroene of oat bank in de buurt past mooi bij de teal ondergrond, en de gouden stippen warmen een kamer op die op het noorden ligt.
