Durf groot te gaan. Bij 60 cm vierkant lopen de tentakels net over de rand van een waskom of smal dressoir, waardoor één diepe navy vorm de hele wand rust en structuur geeft. Kleiner dan 40 cm oogt het al snel als een badkamergrap. De crèmekleurige achtergrond zorgt voor balans; zelfs op een meter breed blijft een badkamer met witte tegels of een lichte keuken open en luchtig aanvoelen, niet vol. Hang hem tegenover de deur, zodat de elegante krullen je als eerste begroeten. Houd de omgeving rustig: matte witte tegels, een plank van hout, één messing kraan. Geen andere navy accenten binnen handbereik. Op fine-artpapier komt het donkerblauw diep en egaal over, zoals bij een echte blokdruk.

How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Wordt het marineblauw niet te zwaar in een kleine badkamer?
Minder dan je zou denken. De helft van het beeld is crème, dus de muur blijft vanaf de deuropening licht ogen. Het marineblauw voelt alleen zwaar als de muren eromheen ook donker zijn of als de kamer helemaal geen daglicht heeft. In een badkamer met witte tegels en één raam oogt het fris in plaats van somber. Houd de handdoeken licht of gestreept en de balans blijft goed.
Is het niet te volwassen voor een kinderkamer?
Ja, en vaak is dat juist beter. Jonge kinderen zien er een vriendelijk zeedier met krullende armen in, en oudere kinderen zien een grafische poster in plaats van kinderdecor. Daar kies je hem ook voor in plaats van een cartoonposter: hij blijft aan de muur hangen door meerdere make-overs heen. Combineer hem met gestreept beddengoed en een grenen bed, en hij past op vijf én op vijftien.
Kan ik hem ophangen in een kamer zonder andere blauwe tinten?
Ja, en vaak is dat juist beter. Eén diepe marine vorm op een crème- of witte muur geeft de kamer een duidelijk focuspunt zonder dat je bijpassende kussens nodig hebt. Als je hem wilt laten terugkomen, is een marine handdoek of één gestreept vloerkleed genoeg. Voeg je meer blauw toe, dan is de octopus niet meer het eerste waar je oog op valt.
