De meeste groentinten maken een ruimte snel koel: grijze bank, saliegroene muur, noorderlicht – en het geheel voelt fris maar kil. Deze poster oogt juist warm. Het groen ligt dichter bij een voorjaarsgazon dan bij een dennenbos, en het crèmezand ernaast leest als warm pleisterwerk in plaats van spierwit. Hang hem in de werkkamer boven een noten- of licht eiken bureau en het hout lijkt elk uur rijker van kleur. Kleine accenten van koraal en mosterd in de bomen pakken mooi op met cognackleer of een camel plaid aan de overkant van de kamer. Vermijd een kille, helderwitte muur; kies liever krijtwit of een zachte steentint, zodat de warmte tot in de hoeken doorloopt. In een gang doet hij wat een raam zou doen – ideaal als er geen daglicht is. Op fineart-papier behoudt het zand zijn zachte, krijtachtige finish.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Gaat dit vloeken met salie- of olijfkleurige muren?
Dat kan onrustig uitpakken. Het groen hier neigt naar geel en fel, dichter bij nieuw gras dan bij salie, dus tegen een olijfkleurige muur oogt het sneller luider dan nodig. Gebroken wit, warme steen en licht pleisterwerk laten het beter tot rust komen. Een donkerblauwe muur werkt ook en laat het zand oplichten. Is je kamer al groen, hang hem dan liever in de hal.

Is dit niet te speels voor een formele studeerkamer?
Het oogt eerst als schilderij en pas daarna als golfscene, en juist daardoor blijft het weg van een man-cave-uitstraling. Van een afstand zie je dikke verf, een boog van crème en een vlak groen. De figuren vallen pas van dichtbij op. Boven een walnotenhouten bureau met een tan stoel houdt hij zich prima staande naast boeken en een goede lamp.

Uit welke richting moet het licht komen?
Het liefst van opzij. De hele scène draait om een harde schaduw van de steile bunkerwand, en een raam links of rechts van de muur laat echt licht op dezelfde manier vallen, zodat de geschilderde schaduw kloppend voelt. Vermijd een spot recht van boven, want die haalt de textuur vlak en maakt het zand krijtachtig. Namiddagzon werkt het best.
