How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Maakt een bruin beeld mijn slaapkamer donkerder?

Niet deze. Bijna een derde van het beeld is lichte gebroken witte lucht en water, waardoor de totale tint dichter bij warm beige ligt dan bij bruin. Tegen een witte of gebroken witte muur oogt hij juist lichter in plaats van zwaarder. Waar hij wel zwaar kan aanvoelen is op een donkergroene of marineblauwe muur in een kamer met kleine ramen, dus houd de muur licht als het daglicht beperkt is.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een tweepersoonsbed?

Streef ernaar dat het beeld ongeveer twee derde tot de volledige breedte van het hoofdbord beslaat. Voor een standaard Britse tweepersoonsbed betekent dat ongeveer 100 tot 135 cm breed. Kleiner dan dat en de rivier en de verre heuvels lijken van veraf op een bruine strook. De verhouding 2:1 houdt de hoogte bescheiden, dus zelfs op volledige breedte wordt het plafond niet te druk.

Werkt het ook in een woonkamer net zo goed als in een slaapkamer?

Ja, boven een bank werkt het net zo goed, omdat het de lange lage ruimte vult die vierkante afbeeldingen leeg laten. Het past in kamers met leer, donker hout of een wollen vloerkleed in havermout of grijs. In een woonkamer met veel kleur in kussens en plaids kan het wat somber ogen, dus het komt het mooist tot zijn recht waar de stoffen neutraal blijven.
