How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Zullen de donkere tinten een kleine slaapkamer donkerder maken?
In de praktijk niet. Ongeveer een derde van het beeld bestaat uit lichte mist, en die lichte baan zit op ooghoogte wanneer hij boven een hoofdbord hangt. Het donkere leisteen eronder leest als diepte in plaats van gewicht, waardoor de wand verder naar achteren lijkt te staan. Houd de omliggende muur gebroken wit of zachtgrijs en de kamer voelt groter, niet somberder.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een tweepersoonsbed?
Richt je op ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van het bed, dus 120 tot 150 cm voor een UK king. Onder de 100 cm vlakken de mistlagen af en draagt het beeld de wand niet meer. Hang hem met de onderrand ongeveer een handbreedte boven het hoofdbord, gecentreerd op het bed en niet op de muur als die twee verschillen.

Werkt het blauwgrijs met warmwitte muren?
Ja, zolang het wit maar zacht is en niet geel. Een krijtachtig gebroken wit geeft het leisteenblauw iets rustigs om tegenaan te staan en de mist loopt aan de randen over in de muur. Vermijd magnolia of crème, die vechten met de koele toon en het beeld kouder laten lijken dan het is. Lichtgrijs werkt net zo goed.
