How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wordt de navy niet te donker in een kleine badkamer?
In een badkamer met witte tegels doet hij juist het tegenovergestelde. De crèmekleurige achtergrond neemt het grootste deel van het oppervlak in, waardoor de muur licht blijft, en de navy geeft het oog één plek om te landen. Houd de rest van de elementen licht, witte handdoeken, lichte voeg, ongeverniste messing kranen, en het oogt fris in plaats van zwaar. Donker geschilderde badkamers zijn de uitzondering, daar zou de navy juist samenvloeien met de muur.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een kingsize bed?
Richt je erop dat het kunstwerk ongeveer twee derde van het hoofdbord beslaat, wat bij een standaard Britse king neerkomt op ongeveer 100 tot 120 cm breed. Het 2:1-formaat houdt de hoogte bescheiden bij die breedte, zodat het comfortabel tussen hoofdbord en plafond hangt zonder te overheersen. Hang het met de onderkant ongeveer 20 cm boven de bovenkant van het hoofdbord en laat de rest van de muur leeg.

Is een octopus niet te kinderachtig voor een volwassen slaapkamer?
Niet in deze uitvoering. De vlakke navy silhouet heeft meer weg van een poster uit een havenstad dan van een babykamerposter, en in een kamer met wit linnen en licht hout oogt hij kustachtig en een tikje gevat. Hij werkt net zo goed in een kinderkamer, en daarom past hij juist bij huishoudens waar de kamer over een paar jaar van eigenaar kan wisselen.
