How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Maakt het donkere water mijn woonkamer somber?
Alleen als de muur erachter ook donker is. Op een grijze of gebroken witte muur leest het diepe teal als één sterk anker en de zachtroze lucht bovenin laat het geheel ademen. Ruimtes met veel oat linnen en licht hout profiteren meestal van iets zo dieps, omdat alles eromheen eindelijk een contrastpunt krijgt.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een tweepersoonsbed?
Richt op ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van het bed, dus ongeveer 120 cm voor een standaard UK king. Op dat formaat ligt de horizonlijn gelijk met het hoofdbord en voelt de muur niet meer leeg. Kleiner maakt de zee al snel een soort ansichtkaart boven de kussens, terwijl juist de breedte dit formaat rust geeft.

Botst het roze in de lucht met een grijze muur?
Nee, het verwarmt juist. Het roze is zacht en gedempt in plaats van zoet, en tegen een middengrijze of greige muur leest het als avondlicht in plaats van als een kleur op zichzelf. Problemen ontstaan vooral met koele lila grijzen, die de lucht naar mauve trekken. Warme grijzen, steen en gebroken wit passen er allemaal goed achter.
