Dit serene ontwerp komt ’s ochtends het best tot zijn recht. Vroege zon door een overloopraam maakt het gewassen blauw bijna grijs, waardoor de ruimte koeler en rustiger aanvoelt dan de avond ervoor. Tegen de middag verdiept het blauw naar denim en lijkt de witte pluisbol erboven te zweven. Hang deze poster naast het raam in plaats van er recht tegenover, zodat het licht erlangs strijkt in plaats van terugkaatst. Kalkachtige muren passen er prachtig bij. Offwhite linnen gordijnen versterken die zachte, matte uitstraling tot op de vloer. In de schemer, met één lamp aan, wordt de achtergrond donker terwijl de steel zichtbaar blijft. How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Wordt het blauw koud in een hal op het noorden?

In noorderlicht oogt het koeler, dichter bij grijs dan denim, en dat past juist goed in een hal. De witte zaadbol blijft helder, wat het licht ook doet. Maak de ruimte warmer met de vloer en textiel, bijvoorbeeld een grenen of eiken vloer, een kokosmat, een wollen loper in oatmeal. Dan voelt het blauw als een koel accent in plaats van koud.

Hoe hoog moet het zijn om op een overloopwand te werken?

Richt op minstens 80 cm hoog, en ga naar 100 cm of meer als de overloop volledige plafondhoogte heeft. De steel vormt het grootste deel van het beeld en heeft lengte nodig om te voelen alsof hij staat in plaats van zit. Hang hem zo dat de zaadbol iets boven ooghoogte zit voor iemand die op de overloop staat, met duidelijke muur eronder richting de plint.

Past het in een badkamer?

Ja, en een badkamer is juist een van de betere ruimtes ervoor. Het gewassen blauw werkt goed met witte tegels, lichte voegen en chroom of geborsteld nikkel. Het ene motief blijft rustig in een kleine ruimte waar drukker werk al snel te veel wordt. Kies een muur weg van directe doucheplens, zoals de strook naast de deur of boven een handdoekenrek, en houd de rest van de ruimte eenvoudig.
