Veel eetkamers missen een knipoog. De tafel klopt, de stoelen passen, maar die lange lege muur achter de bank… Geef ’m de school sardines. Laag gehangen boven een bank of langs een rij keukenunits springt het diep marineblauw fris af tegen witte tegels, terwijl de koraaltinten elk rood in de ruimte oppakken: een ovenschaal, theedoek of strepen op een kussen. Breedte is hier bepalend. Rond één meter breed zwemmen de vissen langs de hele wand en voelt de kamer niet langer half ingericht. Houd de onderliggende oppervlakken rustig: licht hout, witte borden, één schaal citroenen. De rest mag stil blijven, want de vissen voeren al het gesprek. Geprint op fine-art papier smelt de gebroken witte achtergrond bijna samen met een witte muur; een zwarte lijst geeft dan het heldere kader.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Voelt het marineblauw niet te zwaar in een kleine witte keuken?
Nee, want het marineblauw is maar een dunne lijn langs elke vis en het grootste deel van het beeld is gebroken wit. In een kleine keuken oogt het als één donkere streek over de muur in plaats van een blok kleur. Houd de muur licht en de units helder, dan maakt het de ruimte scherper in plaats van kleiner. Donkergrijze of groene units zijn de plek waar het begint te verdwijnen.

Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een eetbank?
Streef naar twee derde van de lengte van de bank. Voor een standaard bank van 150 cm betekent dat ongeveer 100 cm breed, op een handbreedte boven de rugkussens gehangen. Kleiner en de vissen worden een rijtje kleine vormen waar je dicht op moet kijken om ze te lezen. Boven een tweezitsbank werkt dezelfde breedte, en boven een kingsize bed ga je naar 120 cm of meer.

Werkt het in een badkamer zonder dat het een zee-thema wordt?
Ja, zolang de rest van de ruimte rustig blijft. De vlakke volksstijl en het marineblauw houden het dichter bij een Scandinavische keuken dan bij een strandhut. Hang hem boven het bad of langs de muur boven de handdoekradiator, houd de tegels wit en laat touw, schelpen en ankers weg. De koraalkoppen staan mooi naast één rode handdoek en verder niets.
