Wacht tot het laatste uur voordat de lampen aangaan. Dan worden de meeste kamers grijs. Boven een bed, vanaf 100 cm breed, blijft het diepe nachtblauw vol en pakken de bleke grassprieten het laatste raamlicht. De muur voelt even alsof hij buiten doorloopt. De groene basis sluit mooi aan bij een linnen hoofdbord in olijf of havermout; samen oogt het als één geheel. Met een warme nachtlamp wordt het teal groener. Houd de rest rustig: wit beddengoed, een kalkachtige pleistermuur, geen drukke patronen in de buurt. In een westelijk georiënteerde eetkamer werkt het net zo boven een lange tafel – en het diner duurt vanzelf langer. Op papier achter glas worden de randen scherper en zakt het geheel iets naar achteren voor een strakker effect.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Maakt het donkerblauw mijn slaapkamer kleiner?
Niet als de wand erachter licht blijft. Diep navy op een krijtachtig gebroken witte muur oogt als diepte, als een venster in plaats van een vlak, en het brede formaat trekt de blik juist zijwaarts in plaats van naar beneden. Houd het beddengoed licht en vermijd een tweede donker item in de kamer. In een heel kleine kamer met één raam hang je het het best tegenover het raam, zodat het het licht pakt in plaats van in de schaduw te hangen.

Welke muurkleur werkt het best erachter?
Gebroken wit, warm wit of een zachte oat pleistertoon geven navy en teal de meeste ruimte. Licht salie werkt ook en pakt het groen aan de basis op. Vermijd middentonen blauw en grijs erachter, die het contrast afvlakken, en blijf weg van sterke warme kleuren zoals terracotta op dezelfde wand. Een donkergroene muur kan werken in een eetkamer als de verlichting warm is.

Past het in een kamer met warme houten vloeren en meubels?
Ja, en die combinatie werkt goed. Noten- of midden eiken vloeren maken de koele blauwen warmer in plaats van ermee te botsen, omdat het groen in de grassen precies tussen de twee zit. Houd het houtwerk mat en de textielkeuzes in oat of gebroken wit, zodat het kunstwerk de koelste noot in de kamer blijft. Heel oranje grenen is de houttoon die botst met de teal.
