Ga niet voor klein en jolig; maak een statement. Deze canvas met blauwe octopus werkt het best groot: op 120 cm reiken de tentakels over de volle breedte van een tweepersoons hoofdbord en krijgt de bedwand eindelijk rust en structuur. Donker marineblauw contrasteert krachtig met wit geschrobd hout of een warme crèmekleurige muur, terwijl de lichte achtergrond voorkomt dat het geheel zwaar oogt.
De extra breedte komt volledig tot zijn recht boven het bed of boven een lange bank in een kamer met hoge plafonds. In de badkamer is 80 cm ideaal; hang hem gelijk met de bovenkant van het tegelwerk. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Wordt de navy niet te donker in een kleine slaapkamer?
Niet op een lichte muur. Meer dan de helft van het oppervlak is een warme crème ondergrond, waardoor de navy leest als lijn en vorm in plaats van een donker vlak. Houd in een kleine kamer de muren gebroken wit, het beddengoed licht, en dan blijft dit strak zonder de ruimte te sluiten. Problemen ontstaan alleen als de muur zelf al navy of donkergrijs is.
Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een tweepersoonsbed?
Richt je op de breedte van het matras of iets smaller, dus ongeveer 100 tot 120 cm breed voor een standaard tweepersoonsbed. Door de 2:1-verhouding blijft de hoogte bescheiden, waardoor er ruimte overblijft tussen het hoofdbord en het plafond. Hang de onderrand ongeveer 20 cm boven het hoofdbord. Kleiner dan 80 cm en de tentakels verliezen hun bereik.
Past het in een badkamer of is het onderwerp te groot?
Het past goed in een badkamer, vooral met witte lambrisering en een crème muur erboven. Hang hem liggend boven het bad of boven een lange wastafel, liefst rond 80 cm breed zodat hij mooi past tussen lambrisering en plafond. Houd de rest van de ruimte vrij van andere zeemotieven en de ene octopus oogt bewust in plaats van thematisch.
