How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Werkt de saliegroene achtergrond op een witte muur?

Ja, en daar komt hij juist het beste tot zijn recht. Op wit leest het salie als een zacht kleurvlak en steken de crème bladeren mooi af. Op een gebroken witte of grijzige muur oogt hij wat rustiger en vallen de roestnerven juist als eerste op. De enige muur om te vermijden is een saliegroene, waar achtergrond en verf samenvloeien en alleen de bladeren overblijven.

Welk formaat moet ik kiezen voor de muur boven een keukenblad?

Meet de vrije muur tussen het werkblad en eventuele kast of plafond. Bij een gebruikelijke ruimte van ongeveer 80 tot 100 cm laat een vierkant van 50 tot 60 cm genoeg lucht boven en onder en blijven de fijne nerven goed zichtbaar vanaf de keukendeur. Ga je onder de 40 cm, dan verliezen de bladeren hun detail van verder weg. Hang hem zo op dat de onderkant ongeveer 20 cm boven het werkblad zit.

Botst dit met echte kamerplanten in dezelfde ruimte?

Dat hangt ervan af waar ze staan. Een hangplant op een plank of een pot op de vloer eronder oogt juist bewust en verbindt de kleuren. Een grote bladplant er vlak naast werkt tegen, omdat het oog dan twee sets bladeren tegelijk ziet. Houd echte groenplanten ongeveer een meter uit de buurt, of kies planten met kleine bladeren, dan passen de twee prima samen in één ruimte.
