How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wordt het marineblauw niet te donker in een kleine badkamer?

Niet als de muren wit of crème zijn. Het marineblauw beslaat maar ongeveer een derde van het beeld, dus wat je vooral ziet is een lichte ondergrond, en dat houdt een kleine ruimte open. De donkere vorm geeft je oog één plek om te landen in plaats van van tegel naar tegel te schieten. Vermijd het alleen als de badkamer al in een diepe kleur is geschilderd.

Welke maat werkt boven een wastafel?

Een middelgroot vierkant van ongeveer 40 tot 50 cm breed past goed boven een standaard wastafel of wastafelmeubel van 60 tot 90 cm breed. Hang het zo op dat het midden op ooghoogte zit wanneer je bij de kraan staat. Ga groter, zo'n 60 cm, als het tegenover de deur hangt of aan een lege muur, omdat de enkele vorm die extra schaal aankan.

Past het in een kinderkamer zonder kinderachtig te worden?

Ja, en dat is precies de kracht van marineblauw. Pastel dierprints voelen snel gedateerd, terwijl een vlakke diepblauwe vorm op crème er op vierjarige leeftijd net zo goed uitziet als op veertien. Combineer hem met een effen crème deken, één marineblauwe kussen en licht hout, en laat karakterbeddengoed weg zodat de octopus het enige gezicht in de kamer blijft.
