Veel muren blijven boven ooghoogte leeg. Deze canvas brengt precies die ontbrekende hoogte. De rechte sparren trekken je blik omhoog, waardoor het plafond optisch hoger lijkt. Donker olijfgroene takken komen mooi uit tegen een warme grijze muur of kalkverf, terwijl de lichte sneeuw onderin de vloer visueel verankert. Hang hem op een overloop of een smalle, hoge wand waar weinig anders past. Combineert prachtig met wolplaids en onbehandeld hout. Laat hem het liefst solo hangen: zo komt het beeld het best tot zijn recht. Op canvas sluit het geweven oppervlak naadloos aan op de linnen ondergrond van het originele schilderij. Daardoor oogt de canvas fraai en afgewerkt, ook zonder lijst.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Maakt de donkere boom de hal kleiner of donkerder?

Minder dan je misschien denkt. De bomen staan op een warme grijze ondergrond in plaats van zwart, en de lichte sneeuwband onderaan kaatst nog wat licht terug. In een smalle hal trekt het verticale formaat de blik omhoog, waardoor de ruimte hoger en minder opgesloten voelt. Houd de muur zelf licht warmgrijs of gebroken wit en voeg één lamp toe, en donker leest als diepte in plaats van schaduw.

Lijkt dit na de feestdagen op kerstkunst?

Nee. Er zitten nergens lampjes, ballen of rood in, alleen sparren en sneeuw in olijf en grijs. Het leest als een winterbos, zoals je het tijdens een januariwandeling zou zien, en blijft daardoor het hele voorjaar en de zomer prettig aan de muur hangen. Veel klanten kopen het juist voor cabins en hallen omdat het seizoensgebonden voelt zonder echt kerstdecor te worden.

Welke muur past het beste bij de hoge vorm?

Elke muur die duidelijk hoger is dan breed. Een trapbordes is de natuurlijke plek, omdat de wand daar tot aan het plafond loopt en bredere werken er benauwd uitzien. De strook tussen twee ramen werkt ook, net als de eindwand van een smalle hal. Boven een bank of breed bed oogt het verloren, kies daar dus liever een liggend werk.
