How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wordt de crèmekleurige achtergrond geel tegen een puur witte keukenmuur?

Het oogt warmer dan de muur, meer als perkament dan als geel, en dat is juist de bedoeling. Tegen een helderwitte muur geeft de crème het beeld een zachte rand in plaats van een harde. Als je het vlakker wilt laten ogen, kies dan voor een witte lijst, die de aandacht naar de zwarte vormen trekt en de achtergrondtoon verzacht.

Hoe breed moet het zijn voor een muur boven een eetbankje?

Richt op ongeveer twee derde van de lengte van de bank. Een bank van 150 cm past goed bij een afbeelding van rond 100 cm breed, laag gehangen zodat de onderkant ongeveer een handbreedte boven zittende hoofden uitkomt. Kleiner dan 80 cm worden de objecten een smalle strook en doet het lange formaat zijn werk niet meer. Breder dan het meubel eronder oogt het topzwaar.

Werkt het in een keuken die al een dambordvloer heeft?

Ja, zolang de vloer het enige andere patroon in de ruimte is. Het beeld echoot het dambord in plaats van ermee te vechten, en zwart-witte vloertegels delen precies hetzelfde palet. Houd de achterwand rustig, het werkblad opgeruimd en de muur eromheen leeg, en dan lezen de twee patronen als één bewuste keuze.
