How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the warm sienna and deep red clash in a cool grey room?
Not usually. The background already carries grey-blue, so the portrait bridges warm and cool tones rather than fighting them. If your room leans icy blue or pure white, soften the wall behind with a warmer paint or a linen throw nearby and the warmth in the hair and tie will settle in.
Is this too moody for a bedroom?
It's quiet rather than dark. The face is cream and the eyes are closed, so the overall feel is calm and restful rather than heavy. Hung above a low dresser or to one side of the bed, with warm lamplight nearby, it reads as a thoughtful focal piece rather than a sombre one.
Does it need to be a large size to work?
Medium is the sweet spot. Big enough to hold a wall above a writing desk, dresser or console on its own, but not so large that the stylised face starts to feel overbearing up close. If your wall is wider than about 1.2 metres, size up; for a narrower study nook, medium is plenty.
